HIRE PERIOD
The period of hire is 1-4 days. Longer hire periods will be quoted for as required.
Any order amendments need to made by 11am the day before collection or delivery but is dependent on availability of stock.

PAYMENT
A booking fee of 50% of the total hire charge is due on confirmation of your booking - payable by cheque or bank transfer.
The full balance is due 10 working days prior to the start date for hire - payable by cheque or bank transfer.
If a booking is made less than 14 working days prior to the event the balance must be paid in full at the time of confirming the booking
A refundable breakage deposit of £100 is required which should be issued as a separate cheque made payable to 'The Vintage China Cupboard'. This will be returned on the safe return of all hired goods.

CANCELLATION
The following charges will apply in the event of a cancellation:
31 days or more No Charge
31-8 days 50%
7-3 days 75%
Under 2 days 100%

DELIVERY & COLLECTION
Where items are not collected in person a delivery charge will apply which includes a £25 loading fee plus 50 pence per mile for both delivery and collection.
Delivery and collection services are provided only to and from the ground level only. All goods for collection must have been re-packed securely into the original packaging.
All goods must be checked and signed for by the hirer or an appointed person on receipt.
No discrepancies or faults will be accepted unless highlighted within 24 hours of delivery.

CARE OF GOODS
The hirer is responsible for the safekeeping of the goods from the time of delivery/collection through to the return of items to us by delivery or collection.
Due to the age of many of our items additional care is advised in handling, washing & stacking activities to avoid damage. It is also to be expected that some items may present with faded patterns and gilt edges as is normal with vintage items.
All goods supplied as well as packaging materials remain the property of The Vintage China Cupboard.
All broken, damaged or lost items must be paid for by the hirer. China items are charged at £4.50 per item, cake stands at £20, glassware at £8.00 per item. ?Some items of a unique nature have a higher charge. POA applies for these items.

CLEANING SERVICE
All items are dispatched from The Vintage China Cupboard clean and ready to use. A wash up service is available on request at 20% of the total hire charge.
If you have elected to take our cleaning service all excess food should be carefully scraped away from china and all cutlery rinsed. Should this not be done we reserve the right to make a surcharge for additional cleaning.

RESPONSIBILITY
No responsibility can be accepted by The Vintage China Cupboard for any injury or damage to any party caused by the hire equipment, however caused.
Any goods returned to us that are not the property of The Vintage China Cupboard will be held for collection by the hirer for a period of 2 weeks after which they will be disposed of.
